02JUN20 . MÁLAGA.- Desde hace unos dias los medios de comunicacion de Espana, Irlanda y otros paises hablan de las relaciones del héroe irlandés Red Hugh O´Donnell (1572- 1602) con Valladolid. Falleció repentinamente en Simancas, en 1602, y fue enterrado en la Capilla de las Maravillas del desaparecido convento de de San Francisco de Valladolid. Ahora, en 2020, intentan encontrar sus restos e Irlanda desearía rendirles un homenaje en tierra irlandesa.

Vitamin D – a factor determining severity in COVID-19: Scottish, Welsh, English governments change recommendations

26MAY20.- A new publication from Dr Eamon Laird and Professor Rose Anne Kenny, School of Medicine, and the Irish Longitudinal Study on Ageing (TILDA), in collaboration with Professor Jon Rhodes at University of Liverpool, highlights the association between vitamin D levels and mortality from COVID-19.

New studies show Irish diet is unsustainable – nutritionally, financially and ethically

18ABR20.- From a European perspective, virtually no countries still adopt a ‘Mediterranean diet. The Irish diet is rich in unsustainable foods and is causing nutritional and financial problems – as well as seriously limiting our potential to limit the effects of global warming and nitrogen pollution [Friday 17th April 2020]. However, the new research that pinpoints these worries also finds that we could make major improvements if adopting the EAT-Lancet ‘planetary healthy’ reference diet.
