Invitación a  la exposición: VIAJES PARALELOS

Jordi viene a la India por primera vez con su obra “El paisaje más largo del mundo”. El estilo de Jordi se despliega a través de sus obras. Figuras mágicas casi de otro mundo, son rodeadas por ecosistemas. Dice Jordi: “…El mensaje de la obra es provocar la reflexión y las dudas sobre el actual abuso de la naturaleza y la manera en la que se manipula. La forma en que los árboles han existido antes de la humanidad y la forma en que existen hoy después de la humanidad. El juego de piezas que conforma la obra permite su colocación fácilmente sobre cualquier tipo de pared, y también su suspensión del techo. El placer de su visión se multiplica cuando la luz se refleja en tres modos simultáneos…” Sunaina, por otro lado, ha estado comprometida con las cuestiones de género en el pasado reciente. El corpus de su trabajo busca poner en primer plano la creciente visibilidad de la mujer india contemporánea. Sunaina se pregunta por qué las mujeres indias sienten la necesidad de perseguir la igualdad con los hombres, cuando dentro ellas tienen unas reservas de fuerza formidable. Estas son las temáticas de la exposición.
Viajes paralelos es una interesante trayectoria de dos voces diversas procedentes de dos geografías diferentes, que expresan las emociones de dos artistas distintos.

Invitation to the opening: PARALLEL JOURNEYS
In this exhibition converge the travels of two artists: Sunaina  Bhalla,  an  Indian  artist  who lives in  Singapore  for the  moment  and  Jordi  Gispert  Pi  an artist  from  the  region of  Catalonia in Spain. Both are thoughtful artists who are engaged with their personal environment.
Jordi comes  to  India  for  the  first  time  with  a painting   exhibition  bringing  ‘The world’s largest landscape”.  Through the artworks the signature style of Jordi is unfolded.  Almost  otherworldly  magical  figures  which  center  around  the  eco  systems.  Jordi   says:"...The message of the art piece is to provoke reflection and second thoughts about the current abuse of nature and the way it is manipulated. The way trees have existed before humanity and the way trees exist today after humanity. The assembly of the art piece allows for easy hanging against any type of walls, and also allows for suspension from the ceiling. The viewing pleasure of the art piece is maximized when the light reflects in 3 simultaneous modes..."  Sunaina  on the  other  hand  has  been  engaged with issues  of  gender in  the  recent  past. The  body of  her  work  seeks  to  foreground  the  increasing  visibility of the  contemporary  Indian  woman.  Sunaina   wonders  why Indian  women  feel the need  to pursue  equality  with  men,  when  they  have  reserves  of  formidable  strength  within and  this  is  what  the  thematics   of  the  show.
Parallel  Journeys  is  an  interesting  trajectory  of  two  diverse  voices  from  two  different  geographies  expressing  the  emotions  of  two distinct artists.
