The Spain-USA Foundation and the Embassy of Spain, in collaboration with the Ministry of Culture of Spain, Duomo Ediciones, GRANTA en Español, and the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago, are pleased to present "Building Bridges: Spanish and English Writers in Conversation", a literary tour featuring some of the best young Spanish language novelists.
This roundtable conversation is currently touring the United States, and the Instituto Cervantes of Chicago is proud to host its only mid-west appearance on Thursday, May 19th at 6:00 pm.
Aleksandar Hemon, the renowned Bosnian-American fiction writer (Love and Obstacles, The Lazarus Project, Nowhere Man, The Question of Bruno) and GRANTA editor John Freeman will participate in the roundtable conversation with acclaimed Spanish novelists Javier Montes (The Hotel Life), Alberto Olmos (El Estatus) and Andrés Barba (La Hermana de Katia).
Valerie Miles, editor of Duomo Ediciones and co-founder of GRANTA en Español, will moderate the discussion. Thursday, May 19th, 6:00 p.m.
