On Thursday, Dec. 4, we will host a special tertulia with Perez, where participants will share insights on the relationship between creative writing and cooking, while tasting Caribbean dishes prepared for the occasion. Participants are asked to bring a passage or poem related to cooking, food, or eating from a favorite literary work (in Spanish, Portuguese, or English and from any country) to reflect on the ways in which these two art forms can “feed” each other. For this event we have a limited number of spots for students and faculty and will assign them to the first ones to reserve and until we reach capacity. Please RSVP to Eleuterio Santiago-Díaz at [email protected]
Presented by the 2014 Latino Literary Imagination Emerging Voices Residency Program at UNM. Sponsored by UNM's Department of Spanish and Portuguese.
