European Film Festival In Jordan

"Carol's Journey", winner of a Special Mention at the Berlin Film Festival, with three nominations for the Goya Awards (the highest honor awarded by the Spanish cinema) and selected for the Prize of the Americas at the Montreal Film Festival, will be the Spanish representative at the XXIV edition of the European Film Festival in Jordan on Monday 1st of October at 6pm in the Rainbow Theatre, organized by the Embassy of Spain in Amman.

The Instituto Cervantes supports the efforts of the Spanish Embassy towards this festival, as in previous editions. And it makes it glow by inviting to Amman the director of "Carol's Journey", Imanol Uribe, and the actor in the film, Carmelo Gomez, who after the screening will hold a meeting with the audience. Imanol Uribe is currently one of the most renowned filmmakers in Spain, whose leitmotif has often been the socio-political situation in Spain, and who has just received the Grand Special Jury Prize at the Montreal Film Festival for his latest and critically acclaimed play "Honey Oranges". Carmelo Gómez is meanwhile one of the most charismatic faces of Spanish cinema, with over 30 films, two Goya awards, and with a parallel and brilliant theatrical activity.

Organized by the European Union in cooperation with the Royal Film Commission, the European Film Festival will be held between September 30th and October 6th, and includes the participation of various European embassies and cultural centres in Amman.

مهرجان الفيلم الأوروبي الرابع والعشرين في عمان

عرض للفيلم الإسباني "رحلة كارول" بحضور مخرج الفيلم إيمانول أوريبي والممثل كارميلو غوميث

العرض سيكون يوم الإثنين 1 تشرين الأول الساعة السادسة مساءً على مسرح الرينبو.

 فيلم "رحلة كارول" يمثل مشاركة إسبانيا في مهرجان الفيلم الأوروبي الرابع والعشرين في عمان، الذي يُعرض يوم الإثنين 1 تشرين الأول الساعة السادسة مساءً على مسرح الرينبو، هذا الفيلم حاز على جائزة من مهرجان برلين، واختير لجائزة الأمريكتين في مهرجان مونتريال، كما تم ترشيحه ثلاث مرات لجائزة غويا (وهي أهم وأرفع جائزة في السينما الإسبانية).

ويدعم معهد ثِربانتِس السفارة الإسبانية بمشاركتها في هذه الدورة الجديدة من المهرجان من خلال القيام بدعوة كل من مخرج الفيلم إيمانول أوريبي والممثل كارميلو غوميث، حيث يلتقيان الجمهوربعد عرض الفيلم  ويعقدان حواراً يدور حول الفيلم وكيفية صناعته. يُعد أوريبي واحد من أشهر المخرجين الحاليين في إسبانيا، وتتركز الفكرة المهيمنة على أفلامه في كثير من الأحيان على الحالة الاجتماعية والسياسية في إسبانيا، وحصل هذا المخرج مؤخراً على الجائزة الكبرى للجنة التحكيم الخاصة في مهرجان مونتريال عن فيلمه الأخير الذي لاقى رواجاً كبيراً "عسل البرتقال". أما كارميلو غوميث فهو واحد من أكثر الوجوه الكاريزمية في السينما الإسبانية، مثّل في أكثر من 30 فيلماً خلال مسيرته، وفاز بجائزتين غويا، إضافة إلى  نشاطه المسرحي الواسع.

ينظم المهرجان الاتحاد الأوروبي بالتعاون مع الهيئة الملكية للأفلام، ويعقد مهرجان الفيلم الأوروبي ما بين 30 أيلول و 6 تشرين الأول 2012، ويتضمن مشاركة السفارات الأوروبية المختلفة والمراكزالثقافية في عمان.
