First Draft for movies - Exhibition by Luis Bayonas Visual Arts

He has collaborated with more than 20 films and wrote and co-wrote the screenplays of 5 of them, including “Mission Lisboa”, “Cauldron of Blood” with Boris Karloff, “Madigan’s Milion” with Dustin Hoffman. He worked with directors such as Orson Welles, Ken Annekin, Sergio Leone and Richard Rush.

1. He spent the following 25 years writing for many iconic Australian television shows such as  “Country Practice”, “Division 4”, “Bellami”, “Matlock police”, “Flying Doctors”, “Special Squad”, “GP”, etc, two movies for TV and the teleplay “A Woman in the House”.

During this time, Luis Bayonas started painting again and he had his first solo exhibition in the Bathurst Regional Art Gallery, followed by seven more in Sydney and Melbourne. After that, he filmed “Dancing Cows”, his first feature film as director-writer-producer-editor-and camera operator, and “Adios”, another feature film starring John Waters.

From May 25 to June 7, Luis Bayonas will exhibit his art at Collingwood Gallery in Melbourne.
