The Birmingham Repertory Theatre Company, along with director Calixto Bieito and the Barcelona International Theatre, presents a work inspired by the many references to forests in Shakespeare's plays.
With a cast of Catalan and English actors led by Josep Maria Pou, Forests shows, through fragments of works like Timon of Athens, A Midsummer Night's Dream, King Lear, Macbeth and As You Like It, a forest that sometimes represents a place of escape, punishment, or imprisonment, and at others, a place of refuge ands redemption.
