Walking the Camino by Tony Kevin

Tony Kevin will talk about his experiences walking the Camino and his book "Walking the Camino. A Modern pilgrimage to Santiago". Mr Kevin holds degrees in Civil Engineering and In Economics and Political Science.  He is a former diplomat and currently, an Honorary Fellow at the ANU Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies.  He has written extensively on foreign policy, national security and refugee policies and is the author of award-winning books.



Winner of the ACT Book of the Year 2008, published by Scribe Publications, Melbourne, Walking the Camino relates the experiences of a former diplomat on an eight-week trek across Spain and captures the flavour of what it is like walking the Camino.  It is filled with interesting anecdotes and observations about contemporary Spain.

Tony Kevin is the author of several books, his latest being Reluctant Rescuers (Canberra, July 2012) dealing with safety of life at sea issues.
