Sinopsis: T, un oficinista, desea cumplir su gran sueño de pintar una acuarela, pero se ve impedido de hacerlo por los vecinos de su edificio, a quienes el sueño de T les parece una sublime tontería, algo impráctico, incluso inmoral, y que por supuesto tienen mejores ideas de cómo T debe utilizar su tiempo.
Divertida, absurda y bellamente fotografiada, El acuarelista es una perturbadora metáfora de la facilidad con la que evadimos la defensa de nuestra más íntima esencia y cedemos a otros el control de nuestras vidas.
Synopsis: The Watercolorist is the story of a guy, the clerk T, who wishes to fulfill his grand dream of paitining a watercolor, but is hindered by his neighbors for whom T’s dream seems sublimely trifle, something impractical, even inmoral, and who of course have a much better idea of how T must spend his time. Told in a kafkian black humor style, which derives in the macabre, the Watercolorist is a metaphor on the ease by which we elude the defense of our most intimate essence and yield control of our life to others.
